Straight Up Richard Corey

Newcastle Herald

Thursday April 3, 2008

GR

I am Richard J. Corey (pictured), bass guitarist and stunt vocalist for Front End Loader. I am awkward and annoying.

People call me whatever the hell they want. What am I going to do about it? Glare at them? Look disgruntled? I'm a lover, not a fighter.

I like books about stuff, Barnsley FC, Matchbox cars, Meccano, my chemistry set, hentai.

I wish I didn't like breakfast, asphalt, manila folders.

I want to get rid of these damn confounded lice.

My ideal tour would be with Margaret Thatcher, Bill Hicks, Boney M, and Evel Knievel all performing at once.

My ultimate rider includes a slippery dip, a midget and a jar of Sorbolene.

I am listening to Gustave Courbet. His latest work, The Stone Breakers, is amazing.

I am plugging Our new live album, Laughing With Knives, which comes with a bonus disc of B-sides and rarity, and our show at the Cambridge Hotel on Saturday, April 5, supported by Grand Fatal.
